Job Description

The Deputy Head of Treasury will play a crucial role in leading and managing the treasury team, reporting directly to the Head of Capital Markets. This role will oversee all aspects of treasury operations, including Asset/Liabilities Management (ALM), Liquidity Management, Scaling Infrastructure, Partnership Relationship Management, and Investment activities, while also supervising the Senior Treasury Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in treasury functions within financial services, a strategic vision for treasury operations, and the ability to drive high-level projects across the organization. This role can be based in Jakarta or Singapore.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Provide strategic direction and leadership for the treasury team, ensuring alignment with the organization’s financial goals and objectives.

Develop and implement comprehensive treasury strategies, ensuring effective management of liquidity, risk, and investments.

Act as a key advisor to the Head of Capital Markets on treasury-related matters.

Asset/Liabilities Management (ALM):

Oversee the development and execution of ALM strategies, ensuring a balanced and optimized mix of assets and liabilities.

Lead stress testing and scenario analysis to assess financial risks and ensure the stability of the balance sheet.

Liquidity Management:

Monitor overall liquidity risk, ensuring the organization maintains adequate liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs.

Supervise cash flow forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely projections to inform decision-making.

Scaling Infrastructure:

Lead initiatives to enhance treasury infrastructure, including the implementation of advanced treasury management systems.

Drive automation and efficiency improvements within treasury operations, collaborating closely with IT and other departments.

Partnership Relationship Management:

Manage relationships with financial institutions, ensuring access to credit facilities and other banking services.

Negotiate terms and conditions of partnerships, including FX conversion and money transfer agreements.

Investment Management:

Develop investment policies and strategies, optimizing returns on surplus funds while minimizing risks.

Ensure compliance with investment regulations and internal policies.

Team Development and Management:

Supervise the Senior Treasury Manager and provide mentorship to develop their skills and capabilities.

Build and maintain a high-performing treasury team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

At least 12 years of experience in treasury management or a related field, with a strong track record in strategic leadership.

Proven experience in managing complex treasury operations within the financial services industry.

Extensive knowledge of ALM, liquidity management, investment strategies, and treasury management systems.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Experience in cryptocurrency or blockchain is a strong advantage.
