The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity join our Asia recruitment team as Graduate Recruitment Manager, Asia . This role can be based at our Hong Kong office, or Singapore office.

The Graduate Recruitment Manager will be the driving force behind our Asia graduate recruitment strategy, collaborating closely with Graduate Recruitment Partners and Trainee Review Partners. You will be an ambassador for the firm, enhancing our employment brand with students, universities, and key external suppliers.

In this role, you will have responsibility for delivering a full Graduate Recruitment service across Asia offices. Your role will include but not limited to:

Development of the Graduate Recruitment (GR) strategy in conjunction with the Graduate Recruitment partners in HK and Singapore, and management of our graduate recruitment programme through the entire recruitment lifecycle.

Manage vacation scheme programmes in Hong Kong and Singapore, ensuring they remain effective as a recruitment tool. Ensure candidate experience is best in class.

Manage our future trainees and identify new ways to integrate future trainees to the firm.

Act as HR Business Partner, offer support and guidance to trainees during their training contract, including conducting regular check-ins and rotation reviews.

Review and develop recruitment processes to ensure the firm continues to identify top talent in our applicant pool. Ensure that processes are consistent and compliant with legislative requirements.

Supervision of the HR Advisor at associated firms and development of an entirely new programme to support the growth of the business of associated firms.

Responsible for the delivery of the Asia graduate campaign with the aim of being the law firm employer of choice.

Develop the graduate recruitment brand and all marketing materials in conjunction with the global recruitment and marketing teams, and external marketing and communications agency.

Work with the Diversity & Inclusion teams to ensure we attract a diverse applicant pool, reflective of those studying Law, and to minimise adverse impact in the recruitment process.

Engage proactively with the diversity committees to set objectives and review recruitment activities from a diversity perspective.

Create, monitor and manage the GR budgets for each relevant office.

Develop and maintain relationships with the global GR teams to share knowledge and best practice.

Develop and manage new graduate recruitment programmes in Asia.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience in developing innovative and successful recruitment strategies and campaigns.

Experience with leading firms in the legal or professional services sector would be helpful, but we would welcome experience from other industries.

Strong internal client service focus, client relationship management and influencing skills.

Well organised, articulate, numerate and commercial.

Ability to build networks and rapport with people at all levels of the organisation and externally with peers and providers.

Able to demonstrate resilience whilst building strong relationships with a demanding client base.

Experience of working collaboratively and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Experience in dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changing circumstances.

Comfortable operating autonomously on an agreed plan.

Experience preparing and managing a large budget.

Experience working as part of a global function, balancing consistency of approach and delivering against local needs.

Experience researching and staying up to date with University rankings/ programmes and one or more regulatory environments i.e. The Law Society of Hong Kong.

Experience with immigration requirements in HK and ideally Singapore. 

Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.

Able to influence remotely.

Have strong English and Chinese language capability.
