POSITION INFORMATION
This is a senior professional position responsible for improving customer's supply chain/logistics leveraging FedEx portfolio of transportation and supply chain services.
Working the Sales organization to provide customized transportation solutions and generate new business, he/she will lead the design, development and implementation of customer integrated transportation and/or logistics projects.
Solutions Design and Implementation
- Conduct details of customer requirement in transportation
- Analyse customers’ requirements and propose FedEx transportation or logistics services
- Design solutions within and outside the context of FedEx’s service capabilities
- Create tailor-made transportation solution for customer, as well as develop all business documentation/operating plans that are required for solutions development;
- Assist in the development of customer proposal,
- Identify budget and internal and external resources in order to ensure optimal and effective solutions are developed to satisfy customer needs and generate revenue
Project Management
- Act as the project leader of a cross functional team (without direct reporting relationship) of customer transportation or logistics projects to ensure timely and successful project launch.
- Effective communication with project team members (functional departments in the country/overseas and sister company) will be required to run the projects successfully.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, finance, engineering or information systems related
Experience: Six (6) years of work experience in business planning, logistics and distribution planning, engineering, consulting , computer technologies or related, of which Four (4) years in program management and/or global/international transportation industry
- Proficiency in project management to lead multiple dynamic and regional customer projects
- Experience and knowledge of developing customized service in international express transportation company is preferred
- Business communication skill in English
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills to communicate with multiple levels of management and staff
- Solid analytical skills, business sense, and the ability to work independently
- Some travel is required
