Job Description
The role will be part of the Family Support Services-Families for Life team playing a trainer, delivering evidence-based parenting and marriage programmes to parents and couples. It works collaboratively with schools and community partners in planning of these programmes as required, and will be involved in various community outreach efforts.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Case Management:
Manage 12 to 15 parenting consultation cases per monthProvide counselling, programme, and case management services, including information & referral for identified clientsConduct client assessment and intervention plan based on programme requirementsParticipate in networking and case management meetings, if neededEnsure required case documentations are properly completed in a timely mannerApplication of organisational frameworks that include resilience capacity and risk assessmentRefer clients to appropriate agencies for further intervention2. Group Work and Workshops:
Conduct Family Life Education (FLE) parenting and marriage programmes through various formats (talks, workshops and group work, etc.) for parents and couplesPlan and facilitate groupwork interventions independently3. Practice Supervision:
Provide clinical and programme supervision to junior staff and/or interns.Facilitate peer group supervision4. Professional Practice:
Demonstrate professional practice and role in accordance to the organisation's vision, mission and best practice standards of the sector, which include ethical, reflexive and collaborative practiceRespond to crisis situations based on organisational standard operating proceduresIdentify areas of improvement in service delivery based on evidence-based practice5. Programme Design and Implementation:
Participate in implementation of standards of care, organisational health policies, procedures and programmes6. Community and Outreach Work:
Conduct engagement talks in community settings (roadshows, schools, etc) to introduce agency and programmesNetwork with other community organisations and stakeholders through community partner events and networking meetingsConduct outreach to schools and community partners to increase awareness of family related support and participation in FLE programmes offeredRequirements:
Degree/Graduate Diploma in social work At least 3 years of relevant working experience in social service, education, or related work involving family, parents and childrenPreferably an accredited FLE trainer under MSF's Family Support Division and with specialist skills training and certification in the following programmes: Triple P Selected Level 2Triple P Primary Level 3Triple P Group Level 4SignpostsPrepare/Enrich Group(Candidates not trained in the above yet would be sponsored to undergo relevant trainings for applied role)
Passion for parenting work to strengthen family lifeIntermediate proficiency with MS Office application, specifically Excel, Power Point presentation, MS FormsPreferably bilingual in English and Chinese, or at least conversational in Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking clientsProficiency in using MS Team/ ZoomWilling to work on weekday evenings and Saturday when necessaryWork Location : Tampines
