Job Description
You will be part of the team to provide casework and counselling services for families, with the goal for families to achieve healthy family functioning, and to deliver divorce support programmes and services to families who are affected by divorce, with the goal for families and their children to achieve stability and self-reliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Casework & Counselling
Part of the Intake & Triage Team to conduct intake assessments for new intakesto identify needs, strengths, and risks and make necessary referrals for clients. Conduct counselling for individuals, couples and families who are experiencing stress due to marital and family-related issues.Conduct case management for clients and case conferences with stakeholders.Support Programme & Workshops
Plan, review and facilitate groupwork intervention for parents and children.Facilitate premarital and divorce related programmes and workshops to help equip couples and parents with knowledge that enhance relationships and skills to cope with life transitions.Facilitate and supervise visitation access of divorcing/ divorced parents with their children and ensuring that the session carries on smoothly and safely for both the parent and children.Research & Practice
Contribute to quality practice and professional matters in agency.Engage in research to evaluate activities and identify service gaps.Facilitate internal training for team/service pointNetworking
Support networking and advocacy sessions with partners and stakeholdersRequirements:
Master Degree in Counselling or Bachelor Degree in Social Work (preferably with a recognised certification in Counselling)3-5 years of relevant casework / counselling experience in counselling, social work, or related work involving family, parents and children, and have experience in conducting training and workshopPreferably accredited member of SASW or clinical member of SACAble to work in multiple sitesQualifications
