We are seeking a talented and experienced Global Tax Manager to join their team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to establish and build the tax function from the ground up within a dynamic and innovative company.

As the Global Tax Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the company's global tax strategy. You will ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, optimise tax positions, and provide strategic tax planning support to the business. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a strong background in international tax and a proven track record in building and leading tax functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global tax strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of all tax returns.
  • Optimise the company's tax positions through effective tax planning and management of tax risks.
  • Provide strategic tax advice and support for business operations, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage tax audits and disputes, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
  • Develop and implement tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficient and compliant tax operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the company's tax position to senior management.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional tax qualification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in international tax, with a strong focus on corporate tax within a multinational group or a public accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing global tax strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
