MISSION

 

La mission principale du professeur est de faire acquérir aux élèves des connaissances, savoir-faire et savoir-être afin de développer des compétences dans la discipline.

 

RESPONSABILITÉS

 

●       Enseigner l’histoire, la géographie et l’EMC (éducation morale et civique) en collège et lycée (dont éventuellement la Spécialité HGGSP)

●       Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des situations d’apprentissage ou d’enseignement dans le cadre des programmes et référentiels français

●       Transmettre des connaissances disciplinaires

●       Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des modalités d’évaluation des acquis des élèves, en liaison avec les autres enseignants ou les partenaires professionnels

●       Faire acquérir des compétences incluant des capacités, des attitudes et des savoir-faire

●       Maîtriser la conduite d'une classe et susciter l'intérêt et la participation des élèves

●       Assurer un suivi personnalisé des élèves en lien avec les familles et participer à leur projet d’orientation

●       Contribuer au fonctionnement de l’établissement et au travail d’équipe

●       Adapter son enseignement à la diversité des élèves en apportant à chacun l'appui nécessaire, et mesurer leurs acquis

●       Utiliser des technologies de l'information et de la communication au service des apprentissages

●       Exercice de fonctions spécifiques (coordination, professeur principal, etc.)

 

COMPÉTENCES, EXPÉRIENCE ET FORMATION REQUISES

 

●       Titulaire de l’Education Nationale ou profil équivalent

●       Maîtrise de la matière enseignée

●       Expérience dans l’enseignement au niveau secondaire (collège et lycée) 

●       Etre capable d’enseigner la spécialité Histoire-géographie, géopolitique et sciences politiques serait un plus

●       Connaissance du système éducatif français

●       Sens de l’organisation et du contact

●       Réactivité et disponibilité

●       Capacité d’adaptation et bienveillance

●       Très bonne expression écrite et orale

●       Forte capacité à travailler en équipe et à s’investir dans des projets

●       Expérience en qualité de professeur principal, coordination et/ou chargé de l’orientation des élèves appréciée

●       Capacité à transmettre ses idées et ses connaissances à l’équipe

●       Expérience en qualité de professeur principal et ou coordination appréciée

●       Maîtrise des outils numériques

●       Capacité à s'adapter à des élèves non francophones

●       Capacité à assurer un enseignement adapté à des élèves très divers

●       Capacité à travailler de manière transversale et pluridisciplinaire

●       Maîtrise de l’anglais (niveau B1 et plus) serait appréciée pour faciliter les échanges avec les familles


CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL

 

●       Poste à temps plein (18h/semaine)

●       La rémunération est fondée sur le diplôme, l'expérience et la grille de salaire de l’IFS

●       Date de démarrage : début janvier 2025

MISSION


The teacher's main mission is to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to develop skills in the subject.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Teach History, Geography and moral and civic education in middle school and high school

  • Design and implement learning or teaching situations based on French programs and standards

  • Convey subject knowledge

  • Design and implement methods of assessment of student’s learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners

  • Ensure that students acquire skills including capability, good behaviour, and know-how, among others

  • Lead the class and foster students’ interest and participation

  • Provide personalised monitoring of students by working closely with their family and participate in their educational project

  • Contribute to teamwork

  • Contribute to the operation of the school and its growth (involvement in projects and events, etc...)

  • Adapt his/her teaching to the diversity of students by providing each of them with the necessary support, and assess their achievements

  • Use educational softwares to support learning

  • Exercise of specific functions such as coordination, form teacher and others


SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATION 


  • French Ministry of Education degree holder or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of the subject and the curriculum

  • Experience in teaching in  Middle and High school is preferable

  • Be able to teach the speciality History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Sciences would be a plus

  • Knowledge of the French curriculum

  • Organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Responsiveness and availability

  • Adaptability and benevolence

  • Very good writing and speaking skills

  • Strong teamwork skills and committed to making projects successful

  • Experience as a Form teacher and coordination for the students career orientation plan would be strong benefit

  • Mastery of digital tools

  • Able to adapt to French-speaking and non French-speaking students

  • Able to provide instructions suited to a wide variety of students

  • Able to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary way

  • Proficiency in English (B1 level and above) is appreciated for supporting bilingual students and families


WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Full time (18h of teaching/week) 

  • Remuneration will be based on company salary scale

  • Starting Date : beginning of January 2025
