About the role

Working closely with the Global Head of Insurance, the purpose of the role is to assist in the management and co-ordination of the Orica Group’s various international insurance programs, and country-based insurance policies including:

Property and Business Interruption General and Products Liability Marine Cargo and Transit Professional Indemnity Motor Vehicle Directors’ and Officers’ Workers Compensation and Employer’s Liability  Marine Charterers Liability International Travel Employee Benefits

What you will be doing

Assist the Global Head of Insurance with the management and coordination of the activities listed below.

Develop a schedule of the insurance policies required by Orica subsidiaries globally, including the agreed types of insurance policies required, deductibles, policy limits required under various international insurance programs. Manage and monitor the timeliness of the agreed actions against an annual project plan, including participation in weekly conference calls with external service providers, e.g. Zurich Insurance and Orica’s international insurance brokers, Marsh, Aon. Co-ordinate and arrange for certificates of insurance to Orica’s subsidiaries in accordance with the agreed contract terms and regulatory requirements. Manage and update the Group Insurance Share Point site and Global Insurance Manual. Assist with the collection and consolidation of information from Orica subsidiaries required to renew the Group’s various international insurance programs.  Co-ordinate the issue of Purchase Orders and payment of invoices associated with the renewal of Orica’s international insurance programs and fronted policies. Co-ordinate and report upon details of other local insurance policies in place for Orica subsidiaries globally.  Allocation of insurance premiums to Orica subsidiaries. Support the improvement of processes for information gathering and data analysis with respect Orica’s insurable risk profile, all insurance policies, premiums, and claims.  Provide specialist advice and support to Orica subsidiaries in relation to insurance matters. Due diligence and the review of commercial contracts.
