Job Description

Maintains responsibility for a set of projects developed jointly developed by Celestica and customer.

Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.

Interfaces with cross functional teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.

Advices the supply chain management process for customers from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.

Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities or provides direction to a team of commodity managers.

Provides leadership in the analysis of costed customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers.

Works cross functionally to optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products.

Provides support to Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.

Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.

Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers. Leads process development and development of commodity strategies.

Has regular communication with the customers related to, demand, commitments, non-performing inventory and future process changes /improvements.

Provides direct and indirect supervision to all supporting managers and employees performing highly specialized roles in several major functions or departments.

Accountable for projects and/or programs on a multi-national or global basis. Has overall responsibility for quality, cost and te operations or operational accountability for global business units.

Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. May have overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods and employees in a functional area.

Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters in area of responsibility to ensure achievement of objectives.

Provides strategic supply chain expertise, support and innovative solutions to internal SCM stakeholders and customers. Has responsibility for supply chain strategy for customers within their market

Interfaces with the customer at the supply chain level.

Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.

Works to define a supply chain strategy that ensures targets are met (MPS, revenue, inventory), collaborates with sites and customers to resolve issues.

Collaborates with customers on proposals, expedites and premiums and manages risks/liabilities for CLS, and provides guidance to ensure capacity is installed as needed
Supports E&O claims, shortage management and follow up escalations with customers for resolutions

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience with 12+ years of relevant experience  Extensive knowledge of an electro/mechanical manufacturing environment, materials and processes. Knowledge and application of continuous improvement principles including lean, six sigma, 8D, DFM, Kaizen events Ability to understand the complete supply chain and resolve issues in any area. Reviews demand planning with wider SCM team identifies required changes, drives solutions and any necessary escalations with the customer as needed. Strong knowledge in all areas of import/ export, regulatory and logistics management Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills Strong communication and presentation skills Able to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Ability to maintain external contacts with consultants, association and other companies for benchmarking and networking. Able to work effectively cross- functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives. Regular travel will be required (20%) Celestica is an equal opportunity employer.
