General Role

The role is actively involved in the development of watch sales for Hermès Horloger within Hermès Network and Hermès Horloger external network in South Asia through close and regular monitoring of sales, stocks and assortment. 

The Senior Watch Merchandiser assists in providing the best product offer in line with commercial strategies and budget objectives in close cooperation with the regional manager, the markets’ merchandising teams and store managers, and our headquarters in Switzerland.

Responsible for the commercial development of Hermès watches in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Philippines. Develops and implements product strategies by market. Maximizes market opportunities and business growth while aligning with global direction and brand positioning. Coordinates with inter-departments to achieve business objectives while ensuring a smooth workflow.

Major Responsibilities: Works closely with Watch Regional Manager, Regional Merchandising Teams, and Boutique Managers to formulate and implement product strategies including product assortment, replenishment and allocations, pricing, and inventory control Monitors and analyzes product performance and sales trends weekly and monthly Builds monthly report for markets and stores focusing on product lines, store performance, best sellers, and slow movers Prepares buying assortment and merchandising strategy for each market before each Podium Liaises with HQ Supply Chain in preparation of sales forecasts, order proposals, portfolio cancellations while tracking product shipments and delivery timelines Analyzes market trends and identifies current and potential market opportunities by conducting market research and competitors’ visits Works closely with Communication team to ensure excellent visual merchandising and in-store displays Proactively visits stores to share information to sales teams, provide advice and direction, collect feedback, and monitor product plan executions Assists management in preparing seasonal, annual, and event budgets Effectively communicates key updates, product knowledge, story-sharing, and relevant information to markets and stores via trainings and morning briefs Liaises with regional finance and accounting teams in ensuring smooth workflow on purchase orders, SKU creation, order invoicing, and customs applications

Requirements & Capabilities:

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Fashion, Business or another related field A minimum of 5 years’ applicable retail merchandising experience Knowledge and interest in watches is a plus  Proactive. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and foster teamwork with multiple levels/departments within the organization Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills High proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, especially in Excel & PowerPoint Fluent in English. French is a plus Ability to travel as required
