Key Responsibilities

  • Data Acquisition and Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets from multiple sources to extract actionable insights that drive strategic data initiatives.
  • Data Quality Management: Support in data validation and data quality control processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and relevance for stakeholders, with a focus on identifying and addressing data discrepancies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, business analysts, and key stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensuring alignment on data integrity and usability.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and recommend opportunities to improve data-related processes, driving efficiency and enhancing operational workflows.
  • Industry Research and Skills Development: Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business activities, financial goals, and industry landscape while continuously advancing your knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Operations Research).
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance, business analysis, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, including accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modeling.
  • Understanding of data design and patterns, including the distinction between transactional ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and analytical data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience handling large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Proven ability to create interactive and insightful data visualizations, leveraging strong data storytelling abilities (e.g., Tableau, Streamlit, Shiny).

Additional Skills

  • Experience with statistical and/or machine learning techniques to address business challenges.
  • Strong self-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in an unstructured environment and adapt to ambiguity.
  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and project management abilities with the flexibility to pivot quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex findings in clear, business-focused terms.
  • Proven experience conducting comprehensive, data-driven analyses.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adapting to emerging data tools and techniques.
