Vendor Manager

Data is core to Preqin’s industry offerings, and the data management team delivers accurate, timely and complete data enhancing the value of our award-winning offerings. The trust in our underlying content enables our clients to make key investment decisions.

The data management team is responsible for acquisition and collection of key public and private data that fuels Preqin’s online databases and products. The individual is responsible for creating framework for vendors contributing to Preqin’s data operations.

Full training relevant to the role will be provided.

**Responsibilities**:
**In this role you will**:

- Understanding state of operations with an aim to create and further operational excellence for vendors
- Create scope of work & standardize framework for vendors
- Work with management team to plan vendor strategies
- Manage stakeholders from different departments involved in Preqin's data quality
- Create mechanisms to ensure delivery of quality work from vendors
- Assessing the performance of vendors
- Ensuring vendor compliance with company standards
- Managing vendor billing and disbursements
- Hiring and training additional purchasing staff
- Creating business optimization opportunities leveraging existing BI tools
- Identify areas of improvement on data vendor globally.

Qualifications:
**You are a good fit if**:

- At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in finance/alternative assets preferred.
- Demonstrated communications skills with experience working with high level executives.
- Knowledge of business intelligence systems is a must.
- Proven experience working as a vendor manager.
- Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Prior experience working as vendor manager
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders to ensure delivery of expectation
- Experience in working across cultures and locations is preferred.
