**Responsibilities**:

- Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup solutions
- Perform daily backup checks,troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful completion of backup jobs.
- Plan and execute restoration procedures as required, ensuring data integrity and timely recovery.
- Manage backup schedules, retention policies, and capacity planning.
- Implement and document backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate backup documentation, including job statuses, configurations, and change management logs.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with data protection and retention policies.
- Provide on-call support during off-hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in backup and recovery.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Min 5 years of experience as a Backup Administrator or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with one or more major backup tools (e.g., Veritas NetBackup, IBM Spectrum Protect, Commvault, Veeam).
- Strong knowledge of backup methodologies (full, incremental, differential), retention policies, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage and cloud backup integration (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix).
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a global team environment.
