**Dark Fiber Provisioning Engineer**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Provisioning Engineer to join our Service Delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end provisioning of dark fibre services, working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery and seamless service activation. This position is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about network infrastructure, particularly in the field of dark fibre, and who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where they can make a tangible impact on customer connectivity.
**Key Skills and Responsibilities**:
**Technical Knowledge**:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of dark fibre networks, including technical specifications, industry standards, and best practices.
- Possess advanced technical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues that may arise during provisioning, ensuring a seamless activation process.
**Communication**:
- Interact effectively with both customers and internal teams, providing clear updates, managing expectations, and addressing any questions or concerns throughout the provisioning process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during provisioning, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
**Attention to Detail**:
- Ensure accuracy in every step of the provisioning process, meticulously verifying demarcations and setups to prevent activation issues and ensure high-quality service delivery.
**Problem-Solving**:
- Take a proactive approach to handle unexpected challenges during the provisioning phase, using problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve issues.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution and mínimal impact on project timelines and customer satisfaction.
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all provisioning activities, including demarcations, project milestones, and customer communications.
- Generate timely and accurate reports to support transparency, track progress, and assist in troubleshooting or follow-up as needed.
**Qualification**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in network provisioning, preferably within dark fibre, telecommunications, or connectivity sectors.
- Good understanding of network protocols, optical transmission, and related equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
