**Job Purpose**:
We are looking for someone to join our Group Operations Management team on a 6-month contract to help strengthen how we manage compliance and risk across our regional operations. In this role, you will support senior management by helping to improve daily processes and ensure we follow regulatory guidelines. You’ll also contribute to longer-term goals by finding ways to improve how we work and exploring new technologies to make operations more efficient and effective.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and implement compliance and risk management policies, guidelines, and initiatives across the department.
- Work with Group Risk Management to identify and close process or policy gaps, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Conduct outsourcing reviews on external vendors, ensuring adherence to internal outsourcing policies and procedures.
- Maintain the department’s risk register and perform control testing.
- Investigate and report on compliance or risk-related incidents.
- Conduct impact assessments on new or revised regulations and support departments in meeting compliance requirements.
- Communicate regulatory updates and support business units in understanding and implementing changes.
- Perform quality checks on transactions and processes to ensure policy adherence.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and reporting needs.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, risks, and technology trends.Proactively identify potential risks and share best practices for risk mitigation.

**Requirements**:

- A **tertiary qualification**in a relevant discipline; insurance certifications (e.g., M5, M9, Health Insurance) are advantageous.
- **1-2 years of experience**in compliance or risk management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of insurance operations and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and report-writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage projects independently.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High level of integrity and accountability.Demonstrates initiative and openness to continuous improvement and change.

**This is a 6-month contract position with the opportunity to work on meaningful compliance and risk initiatives in a dynamic operational environment.
