Head of Operational Risk

In your role, you will be reporting to the Regional Chief Risk Officer (RCRO). Acting as a 2nd Line of Defense (SLoD) role in EFG AG, Singapore Branch ("the Branch"), the incumbent collaborates and coordinates with a team of risk specialists comprising expertise in Governance and Control, Operational Risk. The incumbent supports the RCRO Asia by being in charge, in the SLoD, of the Branch - non-financial risks: executing the global and function ORC mandate by leading and representing the ORC function when cooperating and/or interfacing with internal stakeholders (e.g. local Management, 1st Line of Defense teams, Group Risk functions) and external parties (e.g. external Auditors, Regulators). Your main responsibilities include: - Ensure implementation of the Operational Risk Management and Governance Framework in line with Group and local regulatory requirements and industry practices. - Review and report (locally and to Group Operational Risk Control), the Branch's operational risk profile, identify and mitigate risk control gaps - Define, implement and monitor KRIs to enable risk oversight by Group and Local Management - Lead local and/or Group initiatives that enhance the operational risk management capability of the Branch - Provide generic operational risk or specific (e.g. fraud) training to the relevant Branch staff - Review control processes to ensure design and operational effectiveness and efficiency and, where an incident is of an operational risk nature under the Group Operational Risk mandate, lead investigations and follow up on remediation as applicable This role is also designated as a SG Material Risk Personnel (SG MRP) under the MAS Individual Accountability and Conduct Framework who is responsible for managing and conducting the Branch's core function and is required to provide strong oversight. **Role Requirement** - At least 8 years of relevant Operational Risk Control experience, preferably in the Private Banking business. - Strong internal control and risk management knowledge - Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and the impact on the business strategies - Strong problem-solving skills, and highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be effective independently - Ability to multi-task and contribute to a wide range of projects - Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritise effectively - Good commercial awareness especially about the Private Banking industry EFG Bank is the Swiss private banking subsidiary of EFG International.
