Independent Appraisal Unit Officer

The Independent Appraisal Unit Officer is an intermediate level position responsible for reviewing property valuations for mortgage purpose. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate and maintain independence in valuations obtained, minimise credit exposure, escalate deficiencies and recommend delinquent strategies in alignment with overall credit policies. **Responsibilities**: Perform critical reviews of externally prepared residential appraisals to confirm adherence to appraisal standards of local jurisdiction and the Citigroup Minimum Appraisal Standards Review appraisals for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness, and identify potential risk and fraud in appraisal reports Resolve any issues that are not compliant with Citibank policies or conclusions that are not reasonable Interface with both internal and external clients to resolve issues or disputes in values Monitor the performance of the panel of approved appraisers to ensure timely and quality service Building a strong and effective interface with external appraisers **Qualifications**: Minimum 2 years residential appraisal experience Thorough understanding of local appraisal regulations and standards Good understanding of the local residential market Possess a results-oriented attitude and is committed to producing a superior quality work product Ability to work under pressure and multi-task Strong verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Possess problem resolution skills Proficient computer skills for MS Office **Education**: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience -------------------------------------------- - **Job Family Group**: Operations - Transaction Services -------------------------------------------- - **Job Family**: Transaction Capture Services ------------------------------------------------- - **Time Type**: Full time ------------------------------------------------- - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
