Deputy Director, Financial Planning

The Office of Finance (OFIN) supports the University in planning and executing sound financial management in fulfillment of the University’s mission; implementing and maintaining a robust financial framework that supports management in effective decision-making; providing fiscal stewardship of University’s resources; and ensuring financial governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Deputy Director will report to the Director, FP&A.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of finance professionals to manage all the Departments budget matters which include managing department cluster lead(s)/ partners(s).- Develop deep functional expertise and leadership capabilities amongst finance lead(s)/partner(s) so that they can support the operational finance strategy and performance standards for their respective areas of responsibility.- Has overall accountability for translating the University and Finance function's long-term goals into action plans for the financial operations in the departments by working closely with the finance lead/partner(s) or finance point of contacts.- Plan and direct resources to areas where they will most effectively contribute to long term goals.- Possess deep understanding of various internal operational processes related to finance within University, benchmark best practices amongst higher educational institutions and drive continuous improvements.**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accountancy with minimum 15 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis and budgeting- CA is a pre-requisite- Relevant work experience in a supervisory position.- Solid knowledge and experience in Audit Administration- Strong senior stakeholder management skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities- Experience in SAP Hana is advantageous
