**Summary**:
Management trainees work under the supervision of an experienced manager or team leader who are responsible for their on the job training and learning. They receive formal training in a variety of identified areas by the managers. Management trainees are trained with an expectation of taking on higher responsibility after a span of one year or more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute routine positions for a specific commodity or territory based on an understanding of practices covering origination, procurement, freight and risk management.
- Negotiating price, specification and delivery details.
- Liaise with transport, shipping and insurance companies to manage supply chain issues.
- Coordinate supply chain processes such as inventories, in-transit, and production scheduling and carrier availability.
- Gather insights from profitability report, marketing reports and external agencies (such as Reuters and Bloomberg) and monitoring regional and international market performance to analyse for trends and projections of future outcomes. Ad-hoc projects that may be required from time to time

**Requirements**:

- Graduates with internship in trading support related roles will be advantageous
- Commercially savvy and possess a good risk-reward sense.
- Broad understanding of impact of macro-economics and geo-political events on commodities.
- Demonstrated ability and courage to articulate clear and consistent views with execution capacity.
- Professional and mature disposition, independent, able to multitask and a strong team player.
- Good proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Numerically capable and able to negotiate.
- Confident, meticulous, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Willing to travel or overseas posting when required
- Degree in International Trading/ Business/Economics/Accountancy/Engineering from a reputable local university.
