**Role Description**
- The Service Sales Engineer will be reporting to the Service Manager and will handle service sales in the area of General Lab or Scientific Instruments.**Specific Responsibilities**
- Identify and create new opportunities and work with sales / service leaders and account teams (where applicable) to continuously increase prospect and opportunity funnel
- Create viable service/solution configurations which meet customer needs effectively, while achieving optimum margin
- Design/Execute growth strategies to boost and grow revenue/margins
- Support the achieving of Service sales/Solutions target. This includes all revenue segments of contract and non-contract elements (PM/ Customized Related Services)
- Ensure pricing compliance for all opportunities
- Create and maintain opportunities in the Sales Force
- Ownership of opportunities and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs including service contract offerings
- Build strong business relationships and formulate account relationship plans within customers
- Identify & respond to key account user/purchaser and departmental decision makers’ needs and maintain customer contact records in Sales Force
- Maintain a network of key opinion leaders within the assigned territory
- Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data and develop effective counterstrategies
- Build strong working relationship with service engineers and sales personnel to work in unison and effectively with customers
- Work collaboratively with marketing to plan and execute on growth programs
- Maintain understand of services/solutions and be able to present and discuss the value proposition and benefits which are relevant to customers
- Maintain up to date market and competitor knowledge related to their services/solutions
- Develop the understanding of the customers changing service needs and/or operational issues and challenges
- Support and manage tender/bid processes including the needs qualification, vendor selection, quotation, and closure of their service/solution opportunities to meet sales and margin targets as well as to maximize customer satisfaction

**Education Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in engineering or business with relevant engineering background**Minimum Years of Experience**:

- 2 to 3 years of Service Sales experience- #LI-LO1
