**About the job**:
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

As the Asia Pacific (APAC) Demand Lead, you'll be part of the Global Flow expertise group which provides integrated demand/supply balancing for the region, with cost optimization while building next-generation capability.

You will be accountable for ensuring there's a Unified Demand signal from all stakeholders in the East/Latin America (LATAM) region, including build, upgrade, decommission, maintenance, planned/unplanned projects and initiatives; working alongside Global Capacity Delivery (GCD)/Global Infrastructure Group (GIG) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to get a complete demand picture.

You'll influence demand shaping for the region to ensure that weekly/monthly/quarterly operational plans make best use of available minimum/maximum labor and logistics capacity, ensuring excellent customer experience.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Aggregate all sources of demand on third-party data center sites from product areas including Cloud and SRE. Leverage Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) to develop demand forecasts in areas such are repairs and maintenance.
- Provide capability to forecast at product/site/day level to facilitate detailed scheduled and leverage global synchronization expertise to deploy new capabilities.
- Analyze forecast profiles verse known minimum/maximum capacity at data centers and identify roadblocks requiring additional capacity and/or demand shaping.
- Support definition of customer experience priorities; monitor and measure weekly adherence to demand planning and impact to customer experience. Support program planning requests for the development of new products, maintenance activities, decommissions, and other critical business requirements.
- Lead forecast accuracy, bias, smoothing, and synchronization initiatives to improve customer experience and Global Sales and Operations (GSO).

Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements. See also Google's EEO Policy and EEO is the Law.
