The Regional Business Leader - Beauty & Home Care APAC is responsible for providing regional leadership for the Beauty and Home care innovation platform and will drive our Go-to-Market (GTM) initiatives and responsible for developing maximum sales, volume, and margins at existing and prospective accounts so that regional and global objectives of the Beauty and Home Care are met, including potential M&A companies in APAC region.
Core Responsibilities:
Business development and sales
- Drive sales development for our Beauty and Home Care products in Asia Pacific, leading cross functional teams to execute against business plans.
- Develop strategic account plants to create long term value for customers, including defined objectives, milestones, and opportunities.
- Working with local production countries (such as Thailand and China) and develop local production of most relevant products for the region.
- Work with local finance, purchasing and PLM to work on cost reduction on specific locally produced relevant products.
- Work closely with the current customer-facing organization, develop short to long term projects and participate in key customer engagements.
- Establish relationships with key accounts in targeted countries to sell products, services and alternative solutions to create competitive advantage for the customer.
- Work with the Global and Regional teams to manage distribution agreements, target and pricing.
- Develop and achieve expenses budget for the region and oversee accurate demand forecasts for the territory.
- Work with global team to develop and adapt sales-training tools and marketing materials.
- Identify target customers and establish plans for attaining business.
- Network at tradeshows and other technical venues to build knowledge and identify new prospects. (Build budget in the region to participate in the most important shows).
Strategy and Innovation
- Understand APAC Cosmetics and Home Care Market Dynamics and Develop Commercial-Technical regional strategy to define priorities on segments, products, countries, and customers.
- Work collaboratively with the Global and Regional Innovation Teams as well as regional GTM team to contribute to the strategic planning process and execute the global strategy, aligning regional priorities.
- Establish a network of collaboration with business and technical contacts to accelerate new product introductions and exchange of good practices.
- Lead new Beauty and Home Care development projects and product launches, coordinating the marketing communication and GTM promotion.
- Contribute to the development and execution of global technology strategy.
- Act as Project Business Owner of regional Stage Gate innovation projects.
- Provide regular market feedback regarding customers; understand market trends, competitors, and competitive pricing.
Relationship and People
- Monthly reporting for senior management regarding business, strategic, plans and progress
- Ensure close alignment with Global Innovation team and coordinate with marketing and sales regarding business plans, campaigns, and market development opportunities.
- Manage the relationship with external partners as required; lead and/or assist in sales calls to customers.
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharma or other technical field;
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development and/or marketing
- Experience in growing business from inception to significant financial size
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with technology/product development
- Experience in working effectively with sales and technical representatives as well as customers
- Experience in managing external marketing communications and research providers
