Supply Chain Manager

**Objectives
**Primary Responsibilities
Project purchasing:

- Ensure cost-quality optimized goods and services are purchased for our projects, on suitable terms for delivery, cost, payments and quality to meet project timescales and milestones, with specific focus on BESS, inverters (battery/ PV), BMS (battery management systems) micro-controllers, SCADA, related hardware and services including but not limited to pre-bid qualification, pre-shipment 3rd party testing, FAT / SAT, commissioning and O&M services.
- Seek, identify, and engage appropriate suppliers for project-related goods and services.
- Lead the negotiation of contract terms and pricing with both internal and external contacts, and assist with preparation of related agreements; full responsibility of managing and monitoring alignment and compliance between tender specification and offers received, contracts awarded, and delivery against contracted terms; enforcement of claims to suppliers in case of deviations e.g. penalties.
- Manage enquiries, quotations and ordering process including tracking order fulfilment for each project.
- Support Project Management and Construction team in handling logistics, supplier variations, change orders etc.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, legislation and good practice in all purchasing activities.
- Support the sharing of best practice between APAC and EMEA as well as juwi HQ.
- Support on claim management and related post-sales activities

Strategic purchasing:

- Support the development and implementation of a purchasing strategy for BESS in APAC and EMEA, in coordination with Head of Procurement and Supply Chain in APAC, and other departments.
- Benchmarking of suppliers and technologies and creation of regular lead buyer reports BESS to enable continuous improvement and understanding of cost incl. historical development; update and maintain such database as necessary.
- Clarification of market conditions relating to inter alia local content, imports, exports, credit limits, credit protection framework
- Compile a list of product specification using input from other departments
- Forecasting and tracking capacities for Tier I & II suppliers
- Carry out and support supplier qualification
- Implement and execute a supplier performance evaluation process based on existing APAC processes for all BESS component suppliers
- Monitor market pricing and trends, changes, new entrants, equipment lead time etc. and share information within Project Supply Chain; carry out regular Expert Report to APAC/ HQ management, based on assigned Expert function.
- Establish and maintain long-term supplier and subcontractor relationships
- Implement and execute global supplier framework agreements to benefit from purchase volumes

**Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes**
- 5+ years’ experience in international procurement and supply chain management, with 2+ years in procurement of BESS and related components and services
- Experience of managing purchasing for multiple projects at any one time
- Experience of the full Microsoft office suite including Excel and Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and organise own workload including flexibility in working hours as projects may require
- Desirable attributes
- Engineering or commerce background
- Strong analytical skills and drive to adapt and grow with the fast-moving renewable energy and energy storage industry.
- Experience of working within the battery, automotive or RE industry
- Ability to transfer complex technical requirements into legally enforceable agreements.
- Experience of managing purchasing for projects simultaneously across different geographies/ time-zone

**Others**
- In addition to the duties mentioned above, the job holder is required to carry out other duties that are in essence part of his area of activity, according to his knowledge and abilities.
- The job holder may be required to travel to project sites from time to time.
