Chief Information Officer

About the role:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will hold a pivotal leadership position, responsible for shaping and executing our organization's technology and information strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will provide visionary guidance and direction to ensure our technology initiatives align with business goals. Leading a dynamic team, you will oversee various technology functions, drive innovation, and ensure the seamless operation of critical systems. Your expertise in strategic planning, technology governance, and cross-functional collaboration will be instrumental in driving our company's success and achieving excellence in technology operations.

Reports to: CEO

Work Environment: Hybrid/Remote

Salary Range: $300,000.00-$400,000.00

Essential Functions:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive technology strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and drive innovation.- Lead the technology team, including the Heads of Production Applications, Technology Research and Development, and IT Infrastructure and Corporate Applications, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and a culture of excellence.- Collaborate closely with the executive team to ensure technology initiatives support the company's vision, growth, and competitiveness.- Oversee the development and implementation of technology policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.- Manage technology budgets and resources effectively, optimizing investments to drive innovation and operational efficiency.- Foster strategic partnerships with external vendors, staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.- Ensure data security and privacy compliance, implementing robust measures to safeguard sensitive information.- Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO and the board on technology performance, projects, and initiatives.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully driving technology strategy and innovation.- Strong strategic thinking and vision, with the ability to translate business objectives into technology initiatives.- Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse technology teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.- Expertise in managing technology budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective operations and investments.- In-depth knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, with a focus on implementing and maintaining effective measures.- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, capable of building and maintaining strategic partnerships.- Familiarity with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the insurance or financial services industry.- If you do not meet all the qualifications for this role, we still encourage you to apply, as we are always looking for diverse talent to join our growing team.
