We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Finance Strategy and Execution Director, HSBC Life Singapore (INSP) - 18 months FTC (Fixed Term Contract).**

**Role Purpose**

The Finance Department in HSBC Life Singapore covers the Core Finance, Actuarial and Investment functions.

The Finance Strategy and Execution Director is part of the Finance leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. The role-holder will lead a team of 10 FTE. The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

- Drive the SOX compliance Programme for HSBC Life Singapore;
- Provide independent oversight around distribution payments and campaigns;
- Lead Finance support on the migration from legacy AXA systems to HSBC systems;
- Embed a strong controls culture in HSBC Life Singapore Finance;
- Provide independent review and challenge of Group and local reporting;
- Steward financial reporting risk and controls, attend and present at the HSBC Life Singapore Audit Committee;
- Integration of the HSBC Life Singapore Finance TOM with the HSBC Singapore Bank Finance team;
- Other strategic Finance projects as they arise.

This is a key role to provide comfort and credibility around HSBC Life Singapore’s financials to senior management across the Group. The Finance Strategy and Execution Director will also work closely with the CEO of HSBC Life Singapore to formulate business strategy and to maximize business development opportunities.

The role holder will be expected to be credible and able to influence at senior levels, including with the HSBC Life Singapore EXCO, the Global Insurance CFO, the Singapore Bank CFO, the HSBC Bank Asia Pacific Financial Controller and Head of Financial Reporting Risk, the Global Insurance Head of Finance, the HSBC Life Singapore Board, amongst others.

**Principal Accountabilities**:
Impact on the Business / Function
- Deliver SOX compliance
- Ensure distribution compensation is aligned to shareholder value and business objectives
- Support successful delivery of TSA exit
- Enhance credibility around the Finance function and understanding of Insurance financials with senior bank stakeholders and the Board and Audit Committee
- Have significant influence on business strategy

Customers / Stakeholders
- Work closely with the CFO and Head of Financial Reporting to ensure financial reporting is robust.
- Provide expert advice and strategic support to the CEO.
- Work closely with key senior stakeholders in Finance including the Global Insurance CFO, the Singapore Bank CFO, the HBAP Financial Controller and Head of Financial Reporting Risk, the Global Insurance Head of Finance, the Group Chief Actuary.

Leadership & Teamwork
- Coach, train and motivate a team to implement and embed a strong control environment
- Provide leadership and advice to the EXCO on various strategic initiatives
- Work across the Core Finance, Actuarial and Investment functions

- Experience preparing and/or conducting briefings and interfacing at all levels of management.
- Need to attend Board meeting and Audit Committee.
