Vendor Management Specialist

This intensive and critical role supports the growth, development, maturation, and optimization of ByteDance's vendor management team. In addition to a core focus on the non-mainland China regions. This role requires vendor management experience or rich procurement experience, problem solving capability, working cross cultures and time zones, and tireless entrepreneurial spirit.

**1. Vendor Verification**: Identify risk and take risk management actions in vendor selection process.

**2. System & Process Optimization**: Identify, initiate, drive process and system improvements.

**3. Procurement Transformation (training, operation)**: Ensure ongoing awareness of regulatory obligations, impact assessment and action planning for the regional procurement team in an efficient manner. Development of best practices and effective governance for the regional procurement team.

**4. Analytic**:

- Develop KPIs, scorecards, metrics, reports that will drive the improvement of vendor performance.
- Analyze data to find issues and optimization opportunities.

**5. Cooperation**: Develop efficient and effective communication channels with relevant teams such as legal, finance, compliance, etc.
6. Other special projects as needed.
- BA/BS required; Preferably in supply chain, business, accounting, operations management.
- 5+ years total professional experience, 2+ years in vendor management, buying or contract negotiations; Participated and led medium to large scale procurement projects, examples include: process optimization, vendor management, vendor diversity, procurement performance improvements, risk and compliance, reporting, organization change, etc.
- Strong communication skills, strong presentation skills, strong organization and change management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a constant changing environment.
- Display a genuine passion for all things in compliance with the ability to demonstrate strong principles of corporate governance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams, ability to liaise with other functions and senior leadership.
