**About the Job**

We are on the hunt for a Head of Product Development to take charge and join us in developing the most innovative and top selling beauty products. You will be responsible for leading the product development, product launches and compliance for Coco & Eve and Sand & Sky.

**Responsibilities**
- Formula & Packaging Development & Management
- Manage the full development cycle (timing and process), coordinating all product approvals between Brand owners, Design and other stakeholders
- Lead coordination of innovation submissions and feedback from key team members to ensure brief is met and brand formulation POV is incorporated into development of products
- Keep detailed information files on all development related projects including formula, packaging and ingredient updates and innovations. Relay approval and revision communications to packaging vendor clearly and efficiently
- Maintain all control samples, review incoming product submissions for texture, and performance accuracy. Communicate revisions and approvals to formulators
- Receive and review all incoming pre-production primary packaging samples to ensure compatibility with formula
- This includes providing management with recommendations for componentry and suppliers, managing and negotiating pricing and reviewing functionality and quality of incoming samples.
- Work with 3PMs to ensure clear communication of formulation philosophy - free forms, added ingredients, required testing - is completed. Track critical PD milestones and deadlines to ensure product launch on time
- Testing / Claims
- Managing Global Product Compliance
- Work with Regulatory Affairs to make sure products are compliant and on incoming internal questions pertaining to formulations, ingredient function and product claims.
- Work with 3PMs to ensure proper testing is completed in compliance with brand and launch needs Ingredients / Features & Benefits
- Coordinate with innovation and compliance to ensure product details are included in packaging artwork and registration
- Work with contract manufacturers and lab partners to develop formulas consistent with our brand pillars and value proposition that comply with product safety and testing standards.
- Partner with innovation and creative on product packaging design (including artwork & decoration)
- Manage, coach, and develop team members.

**Your Profile**
- Must have solid experience working with International Global Beauty brands
- Bachelors/ Master degree in related field
- 6 - 9 years of hands on product development experience in the Beauty/Lifestyle category
- Proven experience in leading product development from brief to production of globally successful beauty products
- Marketing experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through strong prioritization and planning
