Procurement Officer

We are a diversified group of companies. Our business includes building materials such as marble, stone, tiles, and sanitaryware. We welcome detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement officers to identify new product opportunities, oversee purchases and develop new supplier relationships. In this position, you will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality. You will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for good product management.
**Procurement Officer Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
- Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
- Develop plans for purchasing materials, products, equipment, services, and supplies
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
- Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Work with sales team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
**Procurement Officer Requirements and Qualifications**:
- Min. Diploma in relevant studies
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
- Good understanding of delivery and foreign exchange risks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Strong integrity, accurate, and precise attention to detail
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Ability to converse and write in English and Mandarin
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $3,000.00 - $5,783.14 per month
