Technical Analyst

**MAIN GOAL AND OBJECTIVE**

This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of projects through the elicitation and documentation of business requirements and creation of systems analysis artefacts.

The Technical Analyst (TA) will support the delivery of technology solutions by producing systems analysis artefacts such as interface specifications, sequence diagrams and functional design documents. Where required the analyst will determine and document existing system functionality. As part of the delivery of new/enhanced features the TA will demonstrate expert communication and negotiation skills to ensure that new features are achievable within the relevant cost and time parameters as well as aligning with the product roadmap.

The TA will work closely with other members of the team such as Solution Architects in order to create functional designs that utilise either off-the-shelf features, including system configuration, or that require new system development.

Whilst analysing new features or defects the TA will demonstrate sound judgement and a pragmatic approach to resolving issues.

The TA will provide expert guidance and knowledge transfer during test phases to both internal teams such as the test teams and also to external customers where required. This will require working closely with an allocated Project/Programme Manager, test managers etc.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Elicit and document business requirements related to approved change delivery projects and CR’s
- Preparation and/or review of Project Initiation / Design documentation.
- Involved in and driving key architecture / design discussions for WEX products and platforms.
- Produce AS-IS and TO-BE business process flowcharts/diagrams to enable the identification of business process changes impacted by the delivery of change and to ensure optimum efficiency of operating processes
- Support business functions with the production of UAT test scripts and the completion of User Acceptance Testing in line with original business requirements and associated business process flowcharts
- Work with business functions to identify business readiness activities in support of delivering fully effective change outcomes.
- Build effective and credible working relationships with business SMEs and key stakeholders as well as key Technology functions responsible for delivering technology solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure alignment of business requirements and business process flowcharts with the Head of Business Architecture and relevant Technology Product Owners.
- Management of multiple initiatives simultaneously. Troubleshooting and analysis of production issues.

**KEY KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- 10+ years of strong business systems analysis experience
- A degree in computer science, IT or a related field. IT Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with AS2805 standards.
- Experience in merchant acquiring and card payment systems including EFTPOS Terminals, Transaction Switching systems and card management systems
- Intermediate knowledge and experience working with SQL, API’s,.Net, Python and other scripting/ programing languages.
- Experience with working in Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS desirable.
- Skills in planning, organising, and adapting within a multi-tasking environment.
- Business Analysis qualification preferred

- Knowledge of Unified Modelling Language (UML) notation and its use in creating system documentation
- Familiarity with standard office software (Word, Excel) plus an understanding of relational databases and SQL
