**Description**
The Senior Copy Editor will have responsibilities that will include, but not be limited to the following:

- Should exhibit high professional standards, enthusiasm, and integrity.
- The role involves editing documents of diverse scope and size, ranging from social media tweets and blogs to large-scale reports and PPTs.
- Must ensure consistently high-quality output in the editing process.
- Should possess the ability to edit for clarity in various types of documents.
- Is expected to handle multiple stakeholders onsite at our Singapore office.

The key responsibilities include:

- Demonstrate editorial experience, preferably in nonfiction or general publishing, business editing, or technical editing.
- Show interest in key areas such as development, poverty alleviation, and environmental and gender issues.
- Pay strong attention to detail, identifying Indianisms, demonstrating a keen sense of style and grammar, and working efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Possesses problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and the capability to track and prioritize assignments.
- Develop training materials for internal staff training and development.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to navigate a steep learning curve, maintain composure under pressure, and take initiative.
- Edit various types of text, including blogs, large-format reports, PPT decks, and marketing materials.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills and be a collaborative team player.
- Have a solid foundation in US English with the ability to switch seamlessly between US and UK English.
- Showcase multitasking abilities while contributing to the team’s efforts.
- Adhere to in-house editorial guidelines, brand guidelines, and client guidelines.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
A degree in:

- English, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, Media Studies, or other related fields.
- Editorial experience, preferably in nonfiction or general publishing, business editing, or technical editing.
