**SCOPE**:
Responsible for test development and support for new product introductions (NPI), legacy test equipment, continuation engineering product changes, and equipment replacement.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Lead and implement cost-effective automated methods of testing and troubleshooting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This test equipment consists of electrical measurement and controls, mechanical fixtures and test software which are used in global manufacturing facilities to produce products.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
1. Participate in the new product design evaluation process.

2. Provide design for test feedback and or requirements to the product team during the design phase to assure testability and test coverage as part of the PCBA validation plan.

3. Based on the design requirements, develop a plan to test PCBAs. Manage and communicate project timelines and action plans effectively to deliver cost-effective test solutions on schedule and within budget.

4. Assist in development and implementation of departmental objectives.

5. Help implement production and test strategies to meet financial objectives.

6. Maintain and track project financials and timelines to meet the assigned project deliverables.

7. Develop and implement strategies for the procurement and installation of all PCBA test related capital equipment required for client’s production facilities.

8. Responsible for design of electrical circuitry, properly sizing components and working with vendors to develop test fixtures.

9. Selects proper test strategies based on test coverage requirements to ensure a safe, reliable, manufacturing test solution.

10. Gains experience with development of more complex test approaches such as Boundary Scan, processor-controlled testing, cluster testing, and device programming using ICT test systems.

11. Create and release documentation on all aspects of the test solution:
12. Demonstrate use of appropriate Lean Six Sigma tools for test equipment qualification, test system problem solving, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1. Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EE/CS), equivalent education, or experience.

2. 5+ years’ experience as a test engineer contributor in a team-oriented project environment, including design and development of test equipment for production.

3. Experience with Keysight 3070 In-Circuit test platform.

4. Experience with MVP Automated Optical Inspection Equipment

5. Experience developing and implementing software using languages or platforms such as C, C++, C#, NI Test Stand, BT-Basics, etc. a plus

7. Knowledge of electronic hardware.

8. Excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

9. Good written and verbal communications in English.

10. Proficient using Microsoft Office programs.
