Our client is a well-funded Australian based fintech with a strong presence in Australia and is looking to setup their APAC office in Singapore to cover business within the APAC region. They are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer who will be a vital part of their team to join them in building an innovative online payment service for consumers and businesses.

**Some of the key responsibilities will include**:

- Recruit, manage and mentor a top-class development team.
- Define the development stack, technical roadmap and IT framework in collaboration with the company’s team of product managers
- Create a high performance, innovative, collaborative, continuous learning and improving technology culture.
- Part of the executive team: Identify technology-related opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services, including technology.
- Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors & government.
- Set goals for performance and growth
- Oversee IT budgets to make sure there is no unnecessary expenditures.
- Develop and direct safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches, fraud and compliance.
- Evaluate new technology and make recommendations on technological solutions.
- Make presentations to the board of directors and CEO
- Identify competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of the company

**To be eligible for this role you will require**:

- Previously held a role as tech lead, engineering manager or CTO role
- Has at least 8 years of working experience within the technology sector.
- Has over 4 years of experience working in a startup.
- Bsc. or Msc. in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
- Has experience working with large amount of data or has been involved in data science projects.
- Has experience building large backend solutions / architect.
- Has experience working with large amounts of data
- Have a good understanding of product oriented technical development
- Has excellent written and oral communication skill. A solid public speaker
