Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Laboratory Director to oversee and

manage our laboratory operations. The Laboratory Director will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and

accurate performance of laboratory tests, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall quality

knowledge of laboratory operations, and a commitment to delivering excellence in patient care and customer

service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the laboratory department, ensuring the delivery of

high-quality, accurate, and timely laboratory services.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with applicable

regulatory requirements, including CLIA, CAP, and other accrediting agencies.
- Establish and maintain quality control and quality assurance programs to monitor and improve

laboratory performance and ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Manage and oversee the selection, training, and performance evaluation of laboratory staff, fostering

a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and accountability.
- Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies,

coordinating with vendors and service providers as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to provide consultation on

laboratory test selection, interpretation of results, and appropriate utilization of laboratory services.
- Monitor and analyze laboratory performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), and

develop and implement improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of advancements in laboratory technology, methodologies, and regulatory

requirements, and evaluate and recommend the adoption of new technologies and best practices to

improve laboratory services.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the laboratory, ensuring the implementation of

appropriate safety protocols and adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage the laboratory budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost

control measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in strategic planning initiatives to support

organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

- Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Clinical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry,

Microbiology) or a Medical Doctor (MD) degree. An MBA or a master's degree in Healthcare

Administration is a plus.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Director (e.g., CLIA Laboratory Director) or equivalent,

as required by regulatory agencies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a clinical laboratory setting, with

comprehensive knowledge of laboratory operations, regulations, and quality management systems.
- Strong understanding of laboratory testing methodologies, quality control procedures, and

proficiency testing requirements.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of effectively leading and

developing high-performing laboratory teams.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, such as CLIA,

CAP, and other accrediting bodies.
