The HRSC is a centre under the HR Division of Ministry HQ providing key HR services for MHA’s workforce. There are six branches in HRSC. This post is under the National Service (NS) Services Branch, which oversees NS matters of servicemen serving NS with the Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force.
Job Purpose
The job holder will be with the Personnel Management Centre (PMC) team, under the NS Management section, to address NS data integrity issue in Human Resource and Payroll (HRP) system and to address all NS related queries that require rectification of NS data in HRP - e.g. data relating to Full-Time Natonal Servicemen (NSF) medical entitlement, NSF leave quota, NS deployment, NS Personal records, etc.
**What you will be working on**
- Principle accountabilities
- Work closely with Contact Centre (NS) and Home Team Departments (HTDs) to receive ground feedback on data issues that needs to be corrected
- Work with HTDs and NS Affairs Directorate to ensure ground practices and system data are aligned with NS policies before engaging NCS on the required data rectification/patching either via manual update or mass data upload
- Rectify data timely to ensure smooth administration of downstream NS processes
Major Challenges
- Having a good understanding of NS policies and system processes in order to recommend and assess the suitability of data rectification steps
- Investigating and understanding the root cause of the issues before resolving with manual update/mass data upload
- Liaising with NCS on data rectification that requires their actions/system updates in the backend
- Meeting the expectations of management and HTDs
**What we are looking for**
- Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with mínimal supervision
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills to engage, negotiate and establish rapport with internal teams and other stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives
- Strong critical thinking and analytical capability, writing and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Comfortable with data and new technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel would be an advantage
- Preferably with working experience in Human Resource
