Vice President, Fixed Income Product Strategist

**Business Unit Overview**:
The Asia Fixed Income and Credit team is an industry leading platform with a significant presence in Asian markets. We offer an array of fixed income products designed to meet specific client risk and return profiles ranging from efficient index to unconstrained active strategies. Product Strategists represent the investment team, acting as a specialised source of product and market knowledge and linking portfolio management and distribution teams.

The Fixed Income iShares Product Strategy Asia Pacific (APAC) team is responsible for representing the full suite of Index Fixed Income solutions to internal and external clients, which include iShares’ Asia Fixed Income ETFs as well as our global iShares ETF and index bond exposures. The team is centrally involved in the firm’s thought leadership agenda, product development and marketing. Critical to the success of the team is the maintenance of strong relationships with the EII (ETF and Index Investments) business as well as the institutional and retail distribution teams who are responsible for managing and developing BlackRock’s client relationships.

**Job Purpose/Background**:
The position holder will be a product strategist in the Fixed Income iShares Product Strategy APAC team, focusing primarily on the commercialization, growth, and development of the Firm’s Fixed Income Index business in Asia ex-Japan (AxJ), which spans across institutional mandates, iShares fixed income index funds and iShares fixed income ETFs.
- Drive business growth in the APAC region by being a proactive business “owner” and a credible face of our fixed income index and ETF business
- Act as a key link to facilitate effective interactions between portfolio managers and clients / distribution teams, allowing managers to focus on running the portfolios.**Key Responsibilities**:- Own, create and maintain product information and narratives: tailor materials for presentations and client engagement. Work closely with broader team to create convincing product strategy material with appropriate messaging and product positioning for client business & distribution teams.
- Monitor competitive universe: keep track of products and performance of other asset managers and product competitive analyses.
- Product Development: work with iShares product and fixed income partner teams to identify gaps in product offering, work with the product management groups to prioritize and implement new products and enhancements to existing products.

**Knowledge/Experience/Competencies**:

- Fixed income background with strong technical skills
- Fixed income derivative and fixed income index experience in a buy-side, sell-side or data provider role, with an emphasis of index i.e. beta strategies and sustainable strategies
- Ability to develop strategic thinking with commercial market awareness and business acumen
- Presence, maturity, and credibility to effectively represent internally and externally, and confidence in engaging with internal and external client base
- Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with both internal and external clients swiftly and effectively
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
- Strong team player, collaborative, and cooperative approach to tasks
- Ambitious work ethic and professional disposition

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint essential
