Government & International Relations Manager

Brief Description of the Role

We are looking for a Government & International Relations Manager who will be responsible for

government relations, international strategy, and driving impactful initiatives at Elevandi.

work in a cross-functional setting.

Elevandi is set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to foster an open dialogue between the public

and private sectors to advance FinTech in the digital economy.

We work closely with governments, founders, investors, and corporate leaders to drive collaboration,

education, and new sources of value.

Our initiatives have convened over 300,000 people since 2016 to drive the growth of FinTech through

events, closed-door roundtables, investor programmes, educational initiatives, and research.

Objectives of this Role
- Serve as a key member of the Government Affairs team, which represents Elevandi before

government officials, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders
- Support Elevandi’s international growth by identifying and working in close collaboration with local

partners in key markets such as Southeast Asia, India, and China, and emerging markets such as Africa

and Latin America
- Drive impact for Elevandi’s initiatives through dialogue and education with the public and private

sector

**Job Description**:

- Fostering strategic relationships with local and international government entities, which includes

development agencies, trade agencies, and embassies
- Grow and manage Elevandi’s communications with public sector agencies
- Shape Elevandi’s corporate messaging that is used with external stakeholders and policymakers
- Provide insight to stakeholders on relevant developments in public policy and financial regulation
- Support on engagement strategy and go-to-market approach for public sector entities in Elevandi’s

key markets - Southeast Asia, India, China, Africa, Latin America
- Identify opportunities to build bridges between Singapore and international markets through

strategic partnerships
- Drive action with internal and external stakeholders and partners to get Elevandi’s products and

initiatives to international markets
- Plan and carry out initiatives that are impact-focussed, with a strategic approach to planning but

detail-oriented approach to execution

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
- A bachelor’s degree in international business, public policy, political science, or a related field
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience, including experience with financial regulators, development

agencies or international relations
- Exceptional skills in diplomatic relations, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Possess a deep interest and ability to understand how politics, business, finance, sustainability,

technology and innovation, as well as international relations, are interconnected
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal teams
- High level of comfort interfacing with senior government leaders
- Strong analytical skills to assess and effectively communicate how legislation and policy changes

in the financial sector impact the organisation and business environment
- Strong command of spoken and written English and strength in a second language is a bonus.
- Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
- Experience working with financial regulators or familiar with policy developments in financial

technology
- Experience creating detailed reports and compelling presentations to senior executives and key

stakeholders
- Experience in public communication or advocacy campaigns
- Experience working with stakeholders across multiple territories
