**Job Description:
The Culinary Nutrition Strategist works at the intersection of nutrition science and culinary arts to develop innovative, health-focused dining solutions for high-end or large-scale restaurant chains.
This role is responsible for integrating nutritional standards into the creative process of menu development while maintaining the culinary appeal and profitability of dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all menu items meet local, national, and international nutritional guidelines and regulations, especially in jurisdictions that require detailed nutrition labeling.
Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to create nutritionally balanced, appealing dishes that cater to diverse dietary needs, including allergies, vegan/vegetarian, low-carb, and low-sodium options.
Work with procurement teams to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients, and optimize recipes for nutritional value while minimizing costs.
Partner with the marketing team to promote health-focused initiatives, such as introducing new menu items, providing nutritional information, and showcasing the restaurant's commitment to wellness.
Engage with customers to answer questions about nutritional content, offer recommendations based on dietary restrictions, and create marketing content (e.g., blogs, videos) to promote the restaurant's healthy options.
Collaborate with marketing teams to quickly align branding strategies with new health-focused menu offerings, delivering promotional materials and nutritional content that is timely and relevant.
This role requires a deep understanding of both nutrition and the culinary arts, as well as creativity in balancing flavor with health. The strategist must also have excellent communication skills to work with chefs, marketing teams, and customers.
In this role, you will be expected to set clear, measurable goals and consistently deliver results without missing any tight deadlines. You will balance the complexities of nutritional optimization with creative culinary design, ensuring that all projects meet operational, regulatory, and consumer expectations within the set timeframes.
