AWS is seeking a Solution Architecture Leader to spearhead our migration and modernisation practice across APJ. In this role, you will own the technical vision and architecture for our strategic and complex enterprise transformation programs. Working closely with our Sales leadership, you will develop compelling value propositions and enable our sales teams to drive business growth. You will lead and mentor a team of solution architects, fostering their professional development while guiding them in designing innovative cloud solutions.
You will be instrumental in shaping and executing our migration and modernisation strategy across APJ, leveraging innovative technologies including AI/ML for modernisation automation. You will forge and strengthen relationships with our consulting and technology partners to create comprehensive solution offerings. Your role will involve close collaboration across AWS teams to bring the full power of our platform to commercial customers.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about solving complex enterprise challenges, an innovator who can think big, a technical leader who can execute with precision, and a leader who can build and inspire teams. This is a senior position within the APJ Technology organization, with the mandate to influence and shape the future of AWS.

Technical Leadership:

- Lead and sponsor complex enterprise-scale migration and modernization programs
- Develop technical strategies and frameworks for cloud adoption
- Lead and develop the migration and modernization professional community for AWS APJ, exchange learnings and best practice with worldwide peers
- Guide architects and teams in the automation of migration and modernization using AI tools including agentic, generative and predictive AIML
- Oversee the implementation of cloud-native solutions and architectures

Go-To-Market Leadership:

- Design and execute GTM strategies for migration and modernization services
- Design and execute GTM strategies for progressive modernization of existing solutions
- Develop service offerings and solutions packaging
- Create value propositions and differentiated positioning
- Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling content and thought leadership
- Build strategic partnerships with consulting and delivery partners, and technology vendors

Business Development:

- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Lead technical discovery and assessment workshops
- Develop business cases and ROI models for transformation initiatives
- Present to C-level executives and key stakeholders
- Drive solution proposals and commercial negotiations

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with cloud economics and FinOps
- Background in consulting or professional services
- Track record of thought leadership and public speaking

Competencies:

- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Technical depth and breadth
- Leadership and influence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
