**Job Summary**

Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees. Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team.

**Responsibilities**

Management
- Provides immediate supervision to semi-skilled support team members
- Assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals. Maintains schedules and workflow of the team
- Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and training
- Provide guidance and escalation support for complex issues and emergencies

Project / Infrastructure Site Management
- Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the datacenters. Executes specified routine tasks. Meets unit targets typically against a weekly plan
- Provides input and guidance towards budget
- Overall site capacity supervision

Vendor Management
- Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
- Manage third-party vendors performing installations, maintenance, and testing
- Ensure compliance with Equinix standards, safety protocols, and documentation practices

Technical Expertise
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems

Incident Management
- Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident

**Qualifications**

Typical Degree & Years of Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
