Sinch is growing fast, and we are now seeking a Pre-sales Engineer - Operator Sales for APAC Region to drive and expand our successful business with Mobile Operators.
The essence of the role
In this role it will not only be important to understand but to provide insight (technical and values of offering) and to challenge the customer requirements. The key solution offerings which you will be responsible for within the Operator Interconnect portfolio include the P2P SMS/MMS hubbing services and our IPX services with GPRS roaming exchange (GRX), MMX, GSMA-compliant Voice over IPX, and LTE roaming.
Furthermore, based on customer interactions you will be responsible for defining and documenting architecture, capturing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals and offers. This work should harmonize with our architecture standards, rules and product roadmap and interaction with Product Management and R&D will be important
When successfully winning the trust of our customers/potential customer and we receive the Order, you will be providing technical leadership to delivery projects and perform design to deployment related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues.
**As our new Pre-Sales Engineer - Operator you will**:
- Excellent technical knowledge and experience within the field of data/OTT and telecommunications. Especially related to messaging and Value-added services (RCS, SMS, MMS, USSD, Call Completion, SMS FW, SS7 FW). Further, having a good understanding of SaaS and Managed Service sales is beneficial.
- Act as internal Post-Sales technical escalation path for more complicated client issues.
- Liaise with Account Executives to identify technical solutions to grow client business.
- Partake in strategy and planning throughout the sales cycle for both current and prospective accounts and provide solution calculations to evaluate sales against revenue/margin targets.
- Own and drive the technical requirements of RFI/RFP responses.
- Be part of the Operator Sales team in APAC, having close interactions with colleagues both within the global Operator team and with our Enterprise and specialist sales teams, product management and operational teams. You will report to the Head of Operator Sales - APAC.
Who are you?
We look for someone who is solutions oriented with a strong sense of accountability and sees things through to the end. You comfortably interact with all levels of organizations and enjoy building business relationships both internally and externally.
- University Degree in a technical field.
- 5+ years of experience from pre-sales, solution specialist or equivalent customer facing role from areas within the wholesale interconnect, carrier voice, IPX, A2P/P2P messaging and CPaaS field (messaging, mobile). It is an advantage having in-depth telecommunications background with network infrastructure understanding.
- Experience from working at mobile operator, aggregator, SMS hub-provider or solution/service vendor within operator wholesale, roaming, interconnect business sales.
- Proven track record of successful customer engagement on enterprise and C-level.
- Expert knowledge in end-to-end processes/solution matching.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills and ability to adapt your message depending on audience’s technical level.
