The Operational Excellence team within Grab Singapore is responsible for championing business process re-engineering, automation, data analytics as well as other value improvement solutions, in order to provide the efficiency leverage for our business to grow sustainably.

We operate on a project-based nature, from generation of a business case for change, scoping of requirements and facilitation of As-Is understanding workshops, through to the development of To-Be processes, automation solutions and analytical dashboards, as well as the tracking of benefits realized.

**Get to know the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity within the Planning & Analytics team of Operational Excellence. As an Analyst you will be responsible for generating key actionable insights from business data across key verticals including Transport, Food, etc.

You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, on top of the ability to use tools including but not limited to Python, SQL, MySQL, Tableau, Machine Learning Frameworks. Your agility, strong communication, and prioritization skills will be very helpful for you to excel in this role.

**The Day-to-Day Activities**:
You will collaborate with other sub-teams under Operational Excellence (i.e. Performance Improvement and Digital Enablement) in engaging business stakeholders, understanding and distilling their user requirements, developing pragmatic solution options, and solving key pain points. The day-to-day work activities may include, but are not limited to:

- Conducting stakeholder interviews and gathering information such as As-Is business processes, key data/ automation requirements, and desired end outcomes
- Extracting, analysing and presenting key business data to prove/disprove hypotheses, generate actionable insights and recommend areas for improvement/optimisation and value creation
- Develop user-friendly and comprehensive business reports and dashboards, and perform detailed handover to business teams for continued tracking and monitoring
- Conduct post-implementation user testing, gather feedback for improvement, and maintain Operational Excellence’s documentation library

**The Must-Haves**:

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience solving business problems using data-driven approach
- Familiarity with top-of-the-line data visualisation and analytics tools, e.g. Tableau, Power BI
- Good communication skills and excellent team player
- Self-starter and an engineer at heart, who is passionate about leveraging technology to help business operations drive change and improve growth.

**The Nice-to-Haves**:

- Working experience with machine learning techniques and models
