**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Regional Operations Director will provide operational support to achieve effective and efficient service in compliance with World Courier global, local and customer policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The director will be responsible for the overall operational performance of the region and build a culture of continuous improvement. using all resources available. The Regional Operations director will also create and implement new process/ policies and procedures in alignment with key performance indicators and Regional Vice present direction. They will report on operational performance and future enhancements to the executive lead team once monthly. He/She will monitor and audit systems and processes regularly to ensure appropriate standards are met. Responsible for supervision, hiring, training and development of employees within the organisation (matrix) both via direct and indirect reporting He/ she will travel to offices to assess skills-set and processes. Ensure that optimal and best practices are continually being met.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct daily monitoring of operational performance (using in-house systems) to ensure standards (KPI & SOP are being maintained. Liaise with key personnel when required to manage quality assurance and strategize process improvements. Conduct gap analysis for shipment flow checks to identify service deficiencies or opportunities Actively look at and investigate temperature control performance
- Development & Support -** **Maintain and encourage a continuous improvement culture. Develop working relationships with key operations personnel in each country. (Sub Regional Directors, Country, Operations & Branch Manager & Supervisors (where appropriate) Provide on going support for daily operational issues and projects. Assist by providing solutions, suggestions and resources to solve on going & situational issues
- Events Incidents & KPI - Weekly Event Incident Reports (EIR) - complete a detailed review of every shipment or weekly EIR reports, provide feedback and on major incidents and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - Work in consultation with Regional Quality Assurance Manager (RQA) to facilitate local office follow up when required. Actively review KPIs and provide operational input to RQA & ROD
- In Country Performance & Service Feedback - Visit offices as assigned to assess local performance, processes and knowledge level Observe practices and physical handling to ensure compliance with all SOPs. Offer feedback and suggestions on service deficiencies and potential service gains
- Training - Conduct Induction Training for Operations or Senior Managers when required. Work closely with National Operations Managers, Local Training Managers & Regional Training Co-ordinator to ensure that training is appropriately being assigned and completed Provide feedback to Operations & Training Managers on observed deficiencies in knowledge and include RTC where appropriate
- Reporting - Travel Reports - provide report of offices visits including observations and actions.(within 2 days of returning to home office) Quarterly Summary - provide quarterly bullet summary of Country by Country operational issues.
- Peripheral - Packaging - be a solutions resource for the region by staying up to date on current packaging options and availability. Support global packaging and supplies initiatives by ensuring Asia Pacific remains efficient and cost effective in handling, shipping and inventory management.
- CSS Depot Operations - Observe & support Operational teams with their development & handling of depot to site shipments. Suggest potential service efficiencies and synergy opportunities between Transport and Depot operations
- Business Development Activities Relations - Support Business Development Managers in conjunction with Local Operations Managers. Ensure that Operations obtain and manage information to make it available for Business Development initiatives.
