**The Company**

Our client is a specialist in global container logistics with 40000 employees globally. The company focuses on freight forwarding, contract logistics and port logistics, managing complex supply chains and provides a wealth of innovative value-added services.

**The Operations Manager will be responsible to**:

- Manage the air and ocean freight operations within the region.
- Oversee the Operations Departments daily workflows, problem-solving, and ensure KPI adherence.
- Review and report loss making shipments, and root cause analysis for preventive actions.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager on LCL volume and consol business prospects.
- Ensure operations functions are complied with company agreements.
- Recruit, coach and develop operations team in the freight office.
- Provide training and implementation on new regulations, company policy, SOP, and orientation for onboarding employees.
- Conduct monthly team meetings to review, assess and improve staff performance.
- Participate in joint sales calls to acquire new customers and hold performance meetings.
- Coordinate with Pricing to review trucking, warehousing, and subcontractors’ tariff for competitiveness and budget alignment.
- Engage in regular meetings with subcontractors, brokers, core carriers and co-loader at local level.
- Maintain satisfactory Service Level Agreements with customers.
- Provide excellent customer service and account management.
- Assists Country’s Managing Director in company’s strategies and development.
- Create a team environment.
- Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Country’s Managing Director.
- Diploma / Degree in Logistics / Transport Management / Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position.
- DG trained and certified preferred.
- Exposure to ISO certification.
- Experience in special shipment handlings: reefer, DG, contract / project logistics.
- Well versed in Singapore operations for both air and ocean, knowledge in Batam Operations is an added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of local and international freight services and customs policies.
- Well connected to local vendors (haulers & customs providers)
- Proficient with industry standards programs and systems.
- Close collaboration with key stakeholders: sales, product procurement, operational excellence, finance, and compliance.
- Team player and able to manage an entire freight operations team.
- Strong negotiations skills and data analytical mindset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $6,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Local Polytechnic Diploma (preferred)
