**PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the PostgreSQL database infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query execution to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
- Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and optimize database schemas, tables, and indexes for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, data encryption, and auditing.
- Perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning to meet current and future database requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in PostgreSQL database administration and make recommendations for improvements.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven work experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Experience with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with database monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of database design principles and data normalization.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- PostgreSQL certification (e.g., PostgreSQL Certified Engineer) is a plus.
