We are currently working in collaboration with our client, a global leader in Animal Health pharmaceuticals, to fill this fantastic, challenging and rewarding position - **APAC & South Africa - Regional Business Development & Licensing Director**.

The role will provide you with significant opportunity to collaborate within the business at the highest global levels, where you will report to the Vice President, Global Business Development and Licensing establish and work closely with the VP for Asia Pacific. You will effortlessly be able to facilitate and maintain a strong network with potential partners, you'll actively seek contacts in the related industry sectors, and present this Animal Health Business as a preferred partner. You will be responsible for organising and managing cross-functional project teams to effectively analyse all aspects of the various opportunities, including stakeholders from the Asia Pacific & South Africa management team, Global Marketing, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, R&D, Safety & Environment, etc

**You Key Accountabilities**:

- You will identify and manage the opportunities to evaluate and potentially license or acquire technologies and products aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities
- You will Negotiate and collaborate to support new product development by Animal Health Business
- You will evaluate the third-party technology opportunities in close contact with counterparts from Research & Development, commercial and marketing groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Formalise the agreements on advice from legal counsel
- You will post-transactional oversight of ongoing contractual obligations and management of partner relations.

**Qualifications and Experience that we require you to have**:

- Additionally, we really need you to have an advanced scientific degree or life sciences background and expertise.
- You will be excellent leader with strong relationship-building skills.
- You are an expert time manager and have extensively worked with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders and senior leaders in the business.
- Familiarity with contract law and intellectual property law is preferred.
