We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Vice President - IDSA Negotiator / Derivatives Lawyer to join our Legal team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and advising on ISDA Master Agreements and related derivatives documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. You will also play a key role in managing legal risks associated with derivatives transactions and supporting the bank’s derivatives trading activities across multiple jurisdictions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead negotiations and drafting of ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSAs), and other derivatives documentation with clients, counterparties, and external legal counsel.
- Provide legal advice on derivatives transactions, including structured products, collateral arrangements, and novations.
- Ensure all derivatives documentation complies with relevant regulations, including MAS regulations, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and other applicable legal frameworks.
- Collaborate with front office, risk, compliance, and operations teams to manage legal risk and ensure transaction documentation aligns with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in derivatives law and regulations, providing timely updates and guidance to the business.
- Support the bank’s negotiations and dispute resolution processes related to derivatives transactions.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, policies, and procedures related to derivatives activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel across jurisdictions.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law; admission to practice law in Singapore (e.g., Singapore Bar) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in derivatives, structured products, or financial markets legal practice, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of ISDA Master Agreements, CSA, and derivatives legal frameworks.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Singapore, Asia-Pacific, and globally related to derivatives trading.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
