**Blockchain Pod - Investment Associate**

The Blockchain Pod leads Temasek’s efforts in exploring opportunities in blockchain technology. The team is pioneering efforts to expand Temasek’s scope beyond traditional investing.

Associates are responsible for supporting the team to evaluate, execute and manage investments in blockchain and metaverse related companies, funds, and to build new ventures in the category.

**In this role, you will need to**:

- Support the team to identify key developments and assess investment opportunities within the blockchain and metaverse category
- Conduct research and analysis on relevant companies and projects within assigned sub-categories
- Develop financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees, and coordinate internal processes
- Monitor investments in our portfolio
- Establish and cultivate relationships with companies, foundations, projects, research analysts and other relevant parties
- Assist with team’s regular portfolio reporting and periodic firm-wide strategic initiatives
- Dealing with ambiguity - Be effective in dealing in a space that’s new, loosely defined and rapidly changing; able to make progress given this uncertainty
- Business acumen - Know how businesses work, including strategies, policies, practices, trends, and information in the blockchain and metaverse space
- Learning on the fly - Relentless and versatile learner, able to dive into new business segments to quickly grasp the essence and the underlying structure of these businesses
- Time management - Effectively and efficiently manage your time and effort on a range of conflicting priorities, to accomplish more work in less time than others
- Functional skills - Build financial/valuation models, conduct business analysis and prepare presentation of funds and direct investments to internal committees
