Google Platforms & Ecosystems Marketing aims to drive business growth on Google's key platforms and ecosystems through strategic marketing investments based on key user insights.

This role reports into the Marketing function and combines both strategic and operational projects. He/she will also be working closely with the Strategy Lead on the team Marketing team, and with the Marketing Finance team on creating strategic and financial insights to help senior management make informed strategic marketing investments across the company. A master juggler working on multiple projects at a time, we need someone able to be focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges. An interest in marketing and marketing analytics would be ideal to excel in this role.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**:
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Campaign measurement / strategic analysis - Analyze effectiveness of marketing investments, derive insights from data trends and media reports, to develop high-impact recommendations to improve effectiveness
- Data Infrastructure Development & Maintenance - Develop and maintain tools, dashboards, and data infrastructure to provide visibility on key marketing and business performance, data insights to inform in-market strategies
- Coordinate growth marketing efforts, working closely with our cross functional counterparts to program manage the execution of direct response growth marketing plans on owned and operated user communication channels.

**WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree, recent graduate of data science/analytics program, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4-7 years of experience as a data scientist within an analytical environment, including but not exclusively: business analytics, quantitative marketing, financial planning and analysis, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Technical proficiency in Excel/GoogleSheet, querying & maintaining databases (SQL), analyzing data (R/Python),
- Strong written communication skills in synthesizing data insights, creating reports/ dashboards, and communicating findings.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Ability to derive data-driven business insights and to effectively communicate actionable recommendations.
- Hands on experience using statistical methods and programming languages to forecast and measure impact (e.g. SQL, R and/or Python).
- Experience in running growth marketing campaigns on owned and operated channels.
- Experience in project management, planning, tracking, and reporting on complex programs.
- _Strategy consulting experience useful but not required._
