Our Client is a leading company in Singapore, who is seeking to recruit an Application Support Analyst.

**Application Support Analyst
**Responsibilities**:
1) Deliver solutions to operations and business users.
- Provide system impact analysis for new requirement and new functions turn-ons.
- Review & prepare functional and design documents
- Support testing of new releases and perform non-functional testing.

2) Provide BAU (Business as usual) support for Trading and Market Data systems. These include
- Responding to incident & resolving them quickly to ensure mínimal impact to customers.
- Follow up on incident and problem tickets to their closure.
- Application (logs, data files, and database) and system maintenance (OS, network, storage and Security Patches) and ensure all software and hardware are refreshed/updated before they reach end of support. This also includes annual vulnerability assessment and penetration tests.
- Maintain SOP and “WIKI” documents so that knowledge of systems is shared among team members.
- Support Business Continuity Plan & members Disaster Recovery tests,
- Capacity monitoring and load testing
- System improvements and automation for efficient operations of the systems
- etc.

3) Manage changes and deployment to QA/production system
- Execute/Oversee deployments to QA and production
- Ensure changes are tested and conform to release readiness before accepting deployment into Production

4) Manage solution vendor to ensure that
- SLA is met and delivery/incident handling process is within expectations
- Solution provided by vendor meets business, operations and technical requirements.

5) Support Internal and External Audits.

**Job Requirements**:

- At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics;
- 3 to 5 years hand-on experience in critical production support
- Direct experience in electronic trading systems. Experience in real-time market data and index calculation system is a plus.
- Good end to end knowledge of Financial Markets products such as Equities, Commodities, FX and Fixed Income would be an added advantage
- Hands-on experience in Java and PERL/Linux scripting
- Hands-on experience in Linux Operating System. Knowledge in Linux systems administration is a plus.
- Database knowledge such as Oracle, MySQL are good to have.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Independent and able to manage internal users, external clients and solution vendors
- High degree of focus, motivation and sense of ownership. Sometimes staff will be called on even after their office hours.
- Strong analytical skills and proven problem solving ability
- Ability to react quickly to incidents; following incident recovery process and escalation procedures.
- Meticulous, methodological and yet flexible
- Team player
