About the job:
The Red Hat Global Procurement team is looking for a Manager for the Asia Pacific (APAC) Procurement team to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will work as part of a matrixed team that is organized into major spend categories including IT a telecom, marketing communications, business services, HR services, Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), and travel and expense. You will lead the APAC Procurement team’s strategic transformation and the team as such, engaging Red Hat’s stakeholders, setting procurement strategies, guiding strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and managing strategic supplier relationships related to purchases for APAC. Your success will be measured against business metrics like savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management.

What you will do:
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, and stakeholders and drive progress with the Global Strategic Priorities- Partner with stakeholders/budget owners and develop best in class spending strategies that are innovative, cost effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges across Red Hat’s operating expenses for APAC;- Develop high expertise within the team, with in depth industry knowledge of spend categories to facilitate long-term strategic planning and risk mitigation.- Build strategic relationships and manage supplier performance for key suppliers via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics;- Ensure appropriate business controls are in place to reduce risk and protect Red Hat;- Lead transformational activities to build procurement organisational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.

What you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field;- Extensive experience in Procurement management with demonstrated record of achievement and advancement;- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills;- Experience in developing and leading sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories;- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross functional teams, with multi-country Procurement management experience preferred;- Complex problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions;- Significant experience with contract negotiations at senior levels;- Demonstrated influencing & relationship building skills and the ability to gain agreement among a wide range of stakeholders and suppliers;- Customer service-oriented with excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; additional language skills are a plus;- Strong coaching skills to manage and develop talent
